They are extremely distinctive due to their strength and low weight, and some grades of Titanium can be two to four times stronger than Stainless Steel. Because of these qualities, titanium is helpful in aviation, medicinal, and military applications. However, fast corrosion can occur if chlorine is applied without water or as a gas.<\/p>\n<p>Titanium screws and fasteners are utilized in applications that require a high strength-to-weight ratio, superior stress corrosion cracking resistance, and high corrosion resistance. It&#8217;s worth noting that while Titanium is resistant to chlorides, it is vulnerable to strong acids such as hydrochloric or sulfuric acids, which eat away at the protective passive layer that Titanium produces when exposed to oxygen. Corrosion can result from this.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Types of Titanium Used in Fasteners and Fixings<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Fasteners made of Grade 2 or Grade 5 Titanium are typically in supply.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pakshalsteel.com\/blog\/titanium-grades-overview\/\">Titanium Grade<\/a> 2 is unalloyed commercially pure titanium.
